Rate/Salary/ Description: $63/ hr – Contract 1099/

Start Date: 8/1/2011

Duration: 1 year

Complete Description:
Remedy Developer will serve as one of several technical resources for the District's Remedy 7.6 upgrade project. The candidate will work under the supervision of a Program Manager to upgrade all of the District's Remedy Services, including custom applications built using the Remedy ARS platform, to the Remedy 7.6.x version.

Responsibilities:
· Develops workflows, customizes, implements and maintains applications on ARS and remedy platform independently.

· Customizes ITSM 7.x application suite, develops independent applications on the AR System. Integrates with Application systems and troubleshooting Tier 3 level escalations.

· Creates designs and evaluates designs for peers adhering to development and QA standards and processes.

· Reports on assignments and environment health, automates manual tasks as required.

· Participates in adhoc assignments on the remedy and ARS platform related to event monitoring, integration and reporting.

· Codes, tests, debugs, implements, and documents moderately complex programs. Creates appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code, and technical documentation.

· Designs systems and programs to meet complex business needs. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs are developed and coded. Ensures programs meet standards and technical specifications; performs technical analysis and component delivery.

· Gathers information from existing systems, analyzes program and time requirements. Assists project manager in preparing time estimates and justification for assigned tasks.

· Designs programs for projects or enhancements to existing programs.

· Writes specifications for programs of low to moderate complexity.

· Assists support and/or project personnel in resolving moderately complex program problems. Works with client and management to resolve issues and validate programming requirements within their areas of responsibility. Provides technical advice on complex programming.

· Develops test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs.

· Conducts quality assurance activities such as peer reviews.

· Creates appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code, and technical documentation.

· Remains abreast of industry technical trends and new development to maintain current skills and remain current with industry standards.

· Experience with trouble-shooting any tier 3 escalation on the ARS platform (workflow, integration, mid-tier, database and other areas) and participate in the on-call rotation

Other Qualifications

· Programming skills

· Experience in Analytics, Java, Tomcat, Webservices, Remedy API programming

· Thorough knowledge and / or ITIL certification, Other BMC AR tools, ITSM certification

Behavior Characteristics:
